Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
I am reading the first book in the Harry Potter series (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) and understood that the book is writted in third-person omniscient and I know this because in the text they say things like..."It was on the corner of the street that he noticed the first sign of something peculiar-a cat reading a map. For a second, Mr. Dursley didn't realise what he had seen- then he jerked his head around to look again. There was a tabby cat standing on the corner of Privet Drive, but there wasn't a map in sight." In this little bit you can understand a little about what Mr. Dursley was thinking. Now there are more parts from the text..."He had been hugged by a complete stranger. He also thought he had been called a muggle, whatever that was." (again Mr. Dursley), "'No, thank you,' said Professor McGonagall coldly, as though she didn't think this was the moment for sherbet lemons." (Professor McGonagall), and there are more perspectives throughout the story, unfortunatley I am at the start of the book so I didn't get to read much about Harry yet.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Connections
At the moment I am readind "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" which is the first book in the series and that reminds me of the movies (I SAW ALL OF THEM!) and that Hermione (my favourite character!), in the first 2 movies when she has a fringe, reminds me of the fringe that I have now. Not too much hair and not too little, plus our hair is more or less the same colour! On Monday October 31st, since we get to come in to school with a costume, I will dress up as Hermione!
Also, the first book and movie, when Ron and Harry eat all the candy on the train reminded me of when Marina came over for a sleepover and we were continiously eating candy! YUM!
Also, since in the movie and the book it talks about Mr. Dursley's long moustache, it made me think of when on Club Penguin I like to dress my penguin with a moustache! Tee-Hee! =P
Talking in the book, about all these owls, reminded me of when I was in 5th grade and we went to Kritou Terra, at night we went bat watching, and some people said that they saw an owl, I didn't, by the time I turned around, the owl already flew away. =(
I found it funny thinking about how Harry recieved a whole HOUSE full of mail, and I NEVER get any, Ha Ha, Ha! =D
When Harry, Ron, and Hermione go on the "Hogwarts Express" (the train) to go to Hogwarts, it reminds me of when in Italy we took the train and went around a few places.
Harry Potter's scar reminds me of a lightning bolt because of the shape and also of a scar that my naughty sister made me get on the knee after she de-formed my bicycle a few years ago.

Connection: The Scarecrow and his Servant
I wanted to put as a connection, that while I was reading the book "The Scarecrow and his Servant" I noticed that the scarecrow was alike, and at the same time, the opposite of the scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz". The scarecrow in the wizard of oz is very shy but can also manage to convince others easily, while the scarecrow in the scarecrow and his servant, is very bossy indeed, that's why he asked the little boy to become his servant, and since the little boy didn't have anywhere to go or anyone to be with, he accepted. I didn't finish the book yet since I also started reading the 12th book in the series of unfortunate events, but when I finish that book I will carry on and finish this book too. Also, to think about it, in the wizard of oz there is Dorothy with the scarecrow, and in this book, there is a little boy, whom his name I forget, so in other words, all thesse scarecrows here and there always have a buddy to hand around, or go along, with throughout the book/story. Talking about the wirard of oz reminds me of when my cousin, who is one year older than me, his school did a play a few years ago and it was the wizard of oz and he was the wizard of oz. More connections about the scarecrow are, the scarecrow always seems to be a boy, I never read about any girl scarecrows! Funny! Talking about scarecrows reminded me also of when the first graders, my brothers class, in art class they had to paint scarecrows, they were all so cute hanging up in the entrance of the school! I think this will now be the end, BYE! =D
